1972 Alfa Romeo Giulia Super 1.3

Every once in a while we get to visit a certain group of Alfas that has morphed from a personal fleet into a personal collection lately. Ok, it's a collection of Alfas and a few Dinos - Coupe and Spiders, though those always seem to have an engine out and in some level of rebuilding. With a lot of examples of Alfas to take in, we always gravitate toward the Verde Pino Giulia Super parked close to the garage exit.

The old Alfisti could walk you through the model-year changes among the various Giulia offerings with impressive attention to detail. But, as Milano drivers, we know little of the history surrounding the earlier sedans. Super models featured standard features such as Weber carbs, disc brakes at all four corners, and a sporty steering wheel.

Up for Sale is a really beautiful 1972 Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300 Super. Pretty rare car here in the US. Nice original Alfa, is a blast to drive to the shows or keep has an investment. It's been in a private collection and is now for sale.

The Giulia has various options such as power brakes, Brown interior, 5-speed transmission, Heater, wood grain trim, disc brakes, 8,000rpm tachometer, dual weber carbs, propane tank in the rear, full spare tire, and etc.….The Giulia is powered by it's 1.3L Twin Cam engine with dual Dellorto carburetors making it one of it's fastest sedan's back then for Alfa Romeo. This car moves pretty quick!

The Giulia Super 1.3 was only made into production from 1970-1972 making these models pretty rare. Giulia sedans were noted for lively handling and impressive acceleration among small European four-door sedans of their era, especially considering modest engine sizes offered. When you are driving in this 1972 Giulia there is a certain sense of nostalgia that you cannot help but notice. The classic dash and classic looking gauges makes you feel like it is an authentic classic car, but then you get on the throttle and feel the immediate response of a sports car.

The interior is super nice brown upholstery throughout. All the windows roll up and are very nice. The chrome throughout the interior is in excellent shape, including the little gauges. Woodgrain trim all the way around. All the door jams are really nice. Check out all my pictures of the car including underneath, original floor pans and rails. Paint is of high quality has a really nice clear coat finish. All exterior chromes are in good original shape!

This car is in nice condition and very comfortable & fun to drive. You'd better get used to a crowd forming around you with this car wherever you go. The exterior Body is straight as an arrow All doors are all aligned like they should. The car does have it's minor chips and scratches, and does have a small bubble on the driver side lower rocker pannel. These are pretty rare cars, and this is the nicest one I've seen for the money. I'm located in Miami about 30 minutes away from the airport. Feel free to come see the car in person. Clean FL title. It has 61,xxx Km in miles that's 40K miles. $500 Non-refundable deposit. Any inquires email me. Thanks for looking. Contact me at 305-542-5662.

This car has been sitting on eBay for quite a while now, tempting us with its green paint every time we scroll through the Alfa listings. To us, the long period on the auction block indicates that something might not be sitting well with the Alfisti. On the surface, the car looks to be in great shape, with a refreshed interior, good paint, and chrome that all seems to be in excellent condition. Lacking in expertise, we can't spot the various part substitutions that might be upsetting collectors.

We are interested less as collectors and more out of an interest in such a unique sports sedan. Between the styling, the grunt from the classic Alfa 4-cylinder, and the 5-speed manual in a lightweight chassis, the concept is really appealing. Make ours Verde Pino like this one and we'll find some roads worthy of this early sports sedan.

  1. Perhaps the buyers are confused by the fact that the car has both dual Weber carbs AND dual Dellorto carbs, according to the seller. Lots of carbs!
