1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce

The 105 Series Alfa Romeo Spider is one of the most plentiful Italian classics available in the US and a good starting point for those new to the Italian car game. The Spiders produced in the late 1970s and 1980s can get a bit overlooked, due to the popularity of the original Duetto and the refined, final edition Series 4. This Spider for sale in Louisiana caught my attention, as it has relatively low mileage and looks clean and crisp in this shade of silver blue with Panasport style wheels.

This car is the archetype of the classic sexy Italian roadster! A "Wednesday Alfa," the vehicle has absolutely no rust and has had zero serious mechanical or electrical issues. I am only it's second owner and it as been impeccably maintained, restored, and enhanced to achieve superb daily drivability that is unlike any other Spider. This includes:

-New front and rear suspension
-Chassis stiffening system
-New cool air intake
-New exhaust system from manifolds to tail pipe
-New brakes x 4 and master cylinder
-New 90A alternator
-New water pump
-New valve cover gasket
-New Lights/Turn signal/Wiper switch
-New ignition switch
-New 15" Rota panasport alloy wheels
-New Yokahama tires
-New plugs and certified Alfa wires
-New Alfa top
-New clutch hydraulics

All work done 2010-2011 by Ralli-Round, Alfa specialists in Seattle, WA. The car runs like no other Spider and loves to be driven every day! More photos available on request.

While the Series 4 Spiders are a bit more reliable with their Bosch engine management, the Series 3 Spiders can offer a bit more bang for the buck. A lot of work has been done to this particular car and in light of that, the car is priced well within reason. For someone looking for a plug and play Alfa Spider, this car would be a good candidate.

1991 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce

Always a favorite here at CICFS, the Alfa Romeo Spider is an attractive, affordable way to experience al fresco Italian motoring in its simplest form. Of all the 105 Series Spiders, the 1991-94 Series 4 model offers a curious mix of classic and modern looks with modern reliability by way of Bosch Motronic fuel injection. This Series 4 Spider for sale in South Carolina has higher mileage but has been well looked after, appearing classy in a lesser seen shade of black.

1991 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce

1991 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce. Black on tan leather. Clean Carfax. 112K documented miles. 5-speed manual. Southern car. Starts right up, runs and drives strong and smooth with no issues. Condition overall is very good both cosmetically and mechanically. Engine runs quiet, pulls hard. No 2nd gear transmission crunch. Brand new Bridgestone Potenza Hi-Performance tires. Newer all leather (front, back and sides) and suede seat covers.

Paint is glossy and shiny, with a few expected door dings and paint imperfections of car of this age. Lots of new parts and standard Alfa maintenances services have been performed. IE, you will not have to have these regular items done upon purchase: new clutch master cylinder and slave, motor mounts, transmission mount, valve adjustment, head re-torque, fresh fluids/flush everywhere, new air/fuel filters, new battery, tune-up (plugs, rotor, cap), hoses, belts, thermostat, fuses, bulbs, etc. I have receipts for all the parts and services.

Head gasket is leak free, brakes are strong, clutch is super strong, power windows run fast and smooth. Canvas top looks good outside, but is tired inside (faded with some sealant patches), although the top is leak free. Full tan book cover. EVERY single electrical function and little light bulb works, except the tachometer and the AC (intact, blowers and switches work, needs recharge at the very least). 2 sets of keys (originals and spares), complete original toolkit in bag, booklet, full newer Pirelli P4 spare tire. Has detachable face Pioneer CD player, new power antenna.

The only negatives of the car are typical to Alfas of this vintage. Typical light oil leaks, but no oil burning. There is a small paint repair near rear taillight where there was rain water damage (there was a tiny common spot of corrosion here which was ground down to bare metal, treated, and painted). There is a 4x2 inch patch in the spare tire well, professionally repaired. The hood is slightly oxidized in places, and there are a few tiny rock chips on the nose. Overall, these are things one would expect for a car of this age.

All in all this is a very clean and meticulously sorted Alfa Spider. I bought the car to keep but stumbled upon a fixer upper Spider and decided to sell one. This Spider has been well maintained, and will make a very reliable car for the enthusiast who will enjoy putting guilt free miles on it. There’s at least $5000 worth of services done to this car, that will need to be done to any Alfa you buy, regardless of mileage. The tachometer can easily be removed and sent for repair at Palo Alto (it is getting signal), the AC can be charged up (I will even throw in a new, sealed fresh IAP receiver dryer). These are just things I haven’t gotten to.

I am an honest seller and an Alfa guy – this is my fifth Spider and I love fixing them up as strictly a labor of love. It truly needs nothing to drive across country. If you’d like to talk on the phone, please send me a Private Message. Car is also for sale locally in Charleston, South Carolina. Fly in and drive it home, or I’m happy to help with shipping. Car will remain garaged and insured until pick up. Title is clean, in hand. Asking $9000 or best offer - willing to negotiate, but please no low ball offers. More pics and info available upon request.

This car has more mileage than most Series 4 Spiders we've seen here, but it has been owned by an Alfa enthusiast and received the care it deserved. The seller's asking price is realistic enough, given the condition and that he seems flexible on negotiation to a point. If you're thinking about buying a play toy for the summer, now is the time to get your hands on a classic Spider to enjoy.

1966 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT

The 105/115 series Alfa Romeo Giulia coupes are the poster child for the practical Italian sports car. A bit more conservative than a Spider, less flashy than a Ferrari, these handsome two-doors had staying power in the Alfa lineup. Sold from 1963 through 1976, there were a number of variations, differing in styling touches and what was motivating them under the hood. This early Giulia for sale in Denmark is exactly how I would order up mine: in red, with some tasty alloys and a Cloverleaf on the C pillar.

1966 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT

Presented in 1963 the Giulia Sprint GT was the first model of Bertones new design for a small Alfa Romeo GT coupe to follow the highly succesful Giulietta from the mid-fifties. Designer Giugaro gave it the caracteristic 'stepnose' front. In 1966 the Veloce version was presented. Four extra horsepower from 105 BHP to 109 BHP from the 1600 engine, bucket style sports seats and some detail trim as imitated wood veneer on the dashboard and three horisontal bars on the front grille, set the more expensive Veloce from the standard Giulia Sprint GT.

We have known this Veloce for more than 15 years. 1st owner in Sweden was a dentist who had the car for decades. He had it cosmetically restored in Sweden sometime in the late 80s. In the early 90s it was sold to its second owner and came to Denmark for a mechanical overhaul. The local mechanic never finished the car and we bought it five years ago. Now it is totally restored: body, interior, engine, gearbox, suspension, brakes etc. New paint job to a very high standard in correct Alfa Rosso 501. Although one can not speak of mathing numbers with Alfa Romeo a Sprint GT Veloce should have engine type code 536. This one has not only the correct type 536. The series number is also within that interval that corresponds with this chassis number. This is as 'matching' as it gets in the Alfa world.

13,471 of these fine cars were produced and together with a 1750 GT a Sprint Veloce ranks perhaps as the most sought after model of them all, except for the very rare and prohibitively expensive GTA. This gorgeous two owner car has Danish papers and as such taxes (VAT) withing the EU are paid (not deductible).

Good Giulias and GTVs can be found in the high teens and can close in on $40,000 for the very best of the best. The asking price for this GT Sprint is just about right, if a tad high, considering the two owner history, condition and Veloce trim level.

1991 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce

The Alfa Romeo Spider is probably one of the most featured vehicles here on CICFS and for good reason. The production run lasted almost 30 years and well over 100,000 were produced. So there's a lot of used examples to choose from. My favorites are the early Duetto and the final Series 4. For practicality reasons, I'd probably choose a Series 4 so I could use it regularly. Rarely do we see a Series 4 in silver, but this Spider for sale in Washington has a tad over 40,000 miles and looks showroom fresh.

This stunning 1991 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce is finished in Silver metallic on tan leather, and has only traveled 65,897 miles. It was sold new at Ron Tonkin Gran Turismo in Portland Oregon, July 28th, 1990 to the first owner, and then again in July of 2000 at Ferrari of Seattle with 41,648 miles, until we purchased the car this fall. Being a Pacific North West car since new, and with fresh new leather seats, and a new soft top, it is an exceptional example and a rare find these days. It comes with the original stamped handbooks, Alfa Romeo binder, records, top boot and extra key. I rarely see Alfa Spider's nicer than this car, and few in this color combination.

At just under $17,000, this is about the limit when it comes to Series 4 values. I've seen few that are cleaner than this particular one and it's heartening to know this car hasn't been mothballed; rather, it has just enough mileage on the clock to know that it has been enjoyed from time to time. If this Spider could be had between $14,000 and $15,000, it would be a solid place to park some money. You'd certainly get more smiles out of a chic Italian roadster than a CD or stock options.

1994 Alfa Romeo Spider Commemorative Edition

The end of the 105/115 Series Alfa Romeo Spider came in 1994. This was a rather somber occasion, not just because it marked the end of a production run spanning four decades, but Alfa Romeo's exit from the US market would come one year later. For its final year, Alfa Romeo introduced the CE, or Commemorative Edition, of which only 190 were produced. Included in the package was a special badge on the nose, CE badging on the rear, gold center caps on the wheels and burl wood interior trim. These CE Spiders don't come up for sale all too often, so this one on offer in Florida represents an opportunity to get the Spider in its ultimate form.

This is an absolutely beautiful, Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce CE, Folio Green. The car is number 164 of 190 produced for 1994 the last year Alfa Spiders were imported into the usa. These special models have serialized dash plaques, gold wheel cap centers, wood shift knobs and wood door panels. The Commemorative Edition are becoming very collectable and almost impossible to find. Just think about this, there were thousands of spiders produced every year before 1994 but only 190 the final year. I believe this is the only CE advertised for sale in the entire USA.

The rear window and top are perfect, as is the tan top boot cover. All of the accessories work, including the air conditioning. Just under 57,000 miles. Books and manuals present. Drives absolutely perfect. No shakes, rattles or anything else out of the ordinary. Paint is exceptional Interior is as nice as the exterior. Tan leather and suede seats are near perfect. All of the gauges work as they should. No warning lights. Mechanically, the car is outstanding . It starts immediately warm or cold. Valve train is quiet with no excessive ticking. Oil pressure is good. No smoking whatsoever. The car revs freely and feels good as you row through the gears. which change easily with no grinding or hang ups in any gear. All 4 wheels are unmarred and the tires have 90% tread left. Car has the original Alfa Romeo radio.

The series 4 spiders (1991-1994) are the last and arguably the best produced. If you are looking for a truly special Alfa Spider look no further this is the car that will give its new owner much joy with stunning looks, fun to drive characteristics and will surely appreciate over time. Whether you are driving through winding roads or down to the beach motoring pleasure awaits you. I also have 2 low mileage 1991 spiders for sale a red/tan and silver/tan.

Prices for good, Series 4 Spiders seem to be creeping up slowly, and the CE will certainly be a favorite of many collectors for years to come. At almost $20,000, I think we are shooting for the moon here a bit. If this car had under 40,000 miles we might edge close to that figure, but as is, we're probably somewhere around $15,000 in terms of a realistic number to place on this car.

1969 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce

Batista "Pinin" Farina was the founder of the design firm Pininfarina and turned it into a household name, as the company has consulted on everything ranging from interior design to vehicle coachbuilding. Batista's last project, though, left an impact on two seat roadsters for decades to come. The Alfa Romeo Spider Duetto began production in 1966, the year of Batista's death and was produced in varying forms up until 1993. I've always wanted a Spider sitting in my garage and few automotive enthusiasts haven't caught themselves waxing poetically about taking one of these entertaining drop tops for a nice weekend jaunt through some twisty backroads. This 1969 Spider for sale in Georgia has won a few awards at recent shows and is sure to turn heads wherever it goes with its new owner.

1969 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce

1969 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce restored in gorgeous Italian Red with Black interior to be a top Driven Proven Show Car, fully stock appearance, uprated 2.0 Alfa twin-cam engine with special cams and head, dual Weber 40s, full exhaust system, top suspension upgrades for handling along with top braking modifications, including a $500 chassis stiffener modification, aggressive looks with the Panasport style mag wheels and the Toyo radial tires, an Original Owner’s Manual showing history, here is a great Alfa convertible with loving care from serious aficionados.

At almost $33,000, this particular Spider is at the top end of where these early boat tail versions are at the moment. The Minilite style wheels look great on this classic red roadster, and the modifications made certainly make it more appealing to those putting performance and functionality over originality. I'd love to call this Spider my own. If seeing a car like this doesn't bring out some emotion in you, check your pulse.

1993 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce

I'm continually amazed just how many clean, low mileage Series 4 Alfa Romeo Spiders are out there for sale. If I owned one, I certainly couldn't resist using it as intended, especially if I lived in a sunny state like Florida, where this Spider resides.

I'm proud to offer this recently serviced Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce for sale. The paint is 100% original and in amazing shape! From new belts, hoses, shocks, bushings and a battery, to the ice cold air conditioning and the rare padded tonneau cover, this is the affordable Italian sports car for someone who wants the best Alfa Romeo Spider out there. I've sold quite a few sports cars on ebay over the last 10 years, and have a 100% positive feedback score. This was my personal car, so not a penny has been spared on making the drive the best a person could have on four wheels. It's fast and nimble, yet comfortable and smooth. Everything about this car will exceed your expectations! There is no mistaking this Italian beauty for any other sports car, just serviced and ready for immediate delivery!

It seems the spread for Series 4 spiders is holding steady at between $10,000 and $15,000. This one is priced right at the top of that range. I'm curious that the seats look to be a darker shade of tan than what is on the dashboard and door panels. I'd suspect these seats might have been reupholstered at one point or another, which is something the seller should address. While clean, it's not the lowest mileage example out there, so I'd suspect somewhere around $13,000 might be just about right for this Alfa.

1993 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce

Even though the colder months are upon us in my part of the world, the appeal of the classic Alfa Romeo Spider never does fade. This Series 4 Spider Veloce for sale in Florida is a low mileage, one owner example that looks great in this shade of green.

This is an absolutely beautiful, one previous owner, Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce, Folio Green. The car has never had any paint work. The top and rear window are perfect, as is the tan top boot cover. All of the accessories work, including the air conditioning. It has an upgraded Alpine CD/MP3 stereo with auxillary input and bluetooth. The original stereo is in the trunk in the Alpine box. Just under 25,000 miles. All books and manuals present, including the window sticker. Even has the original Alfa touch up paint that is still useable.

Drives absolutely perfect. No shakes, rattles or anything else out of the oridnary. Both sets of original keys present. The car has a few small paint chips which were touched up with the factory touch-up paint. The car is so original that it still has the original Pirelli P4000 tires. They will be replaced before delivery since they have some dry rot, but I left them on for now to demonstrate how unmolested the car is. Interior is as nice as the exterior. Tan leather and suede seats are near perfect and show virtually no wear. Dash is perfect. All of the vents are present and rotate freely. All of the gauges work as they should. No warning lights.

Mechanically, the car is outstanding. It starts immediately warm or cold. Valve train is quiet with no excessive ticking. Oil pressure is good. No smoking whatsoever. The car revs freely and feels good as you row through the gears. which change easily with no grinding or hang ups in any gear. The top handle trim piece that is missing in the pictures was in the ashtray and is now back on the top handle. I could go on and on, but in sum, this is a near perfect, 1previous owner, unmolested car in a rare color that is getting harder to find.

The Series 4 spiders (1991-1994) are the last and arguably the best produced. This pristine example will give the new owner much joy with its good stunning looks and fun to drive characteristics. Whether you are driving through winding roads or down to the beach motoring pleasure awaits you. If you have a feedback of less then 5 please call before submitting an offer or hitting the buy it now button.

This certainly looks like a tidy car, from the door jambs to the leather on the seats. As we've seen, decent Series 4 Spiders are fetching between $10,000 and $15,000 these days. This one is priced at the top of the market, but if it appears and drives as described, it could be worth it to the right person.

1991 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce

The Series 4 Alfa Romeo Spider we featured last week sold for $12,600. Not a bad deal at all considering the low mileage and stunning condition. Here’s another Spider Veloce similar to the one featured last week that looks great on a set of Panasport alloy wheels. While I never had a problem with the stock wheels, this classic pattern adds a little something special to what is already a great design.

1991 Alfa Romeo (Red) Spider Veloce Roadster. Mille Magna Red w/Tan Leather & Suede Interior. Mileage: 48,975 pampered miles. This vehicle was sold at Cornes Motors Ltd. in San Diego, CA. in 1991. I believe it to be a three owner vehicle. Has all the original books and records including the sales brochure. Also included is a complete shop service manual and related CD. The original Alfa Spider rims (telephone dial) style have been replaced by five (5) PanaSport aluminum wheels and new Toyo Proxes 4/205/55R15 tires. What a difference in the overall vehicle's appearance. Whew! For those purist out there I will include the five (5) original rims with the vehicle's sale.

New custom logo floormats are also included. The convertible top assembly is in great condition with no rips or tears visible and a crystal clear back window. The seats are leather and suede and are in good condition (some wear showing on suede part of seats). The vehicle has had some paintwork on the passengers side door and (R) front fender due to a minor "fender bender" other than that the body's straight. The vehicle runs and drives great! This same year, same color Alfa Spider Veloce just sold on eBay Motors last Friday 08/10/12 for $12,600 with 41K+ miles and the original rims. I spent over $2,000. upgrading the old wheels and tires on the vehicle. This vehicle needs nothing but a new owner!

Given the recent sale of a nearly identical car, it's safe to say the reserve is a little north of $10,000. Panasport wheels are not inexpensive and I doubt 8,000 miles is really that much of a detriment to buyers in the grand scheme of thing. It seems these lower mileage Series 4 Spiders have settled in strongly in the $10,000 to $15,000 range, with the usual condition, mileage and color being the main determinants in value.

1991 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce

Hot on the heels of the low mileage Series 3 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce we featured on Monday, here's a mint condition example of that cars successor, the Series 4. With almost identical mileage, this Spider looks great in Rosso Corsa over tan leather. Summer isn't over just yet and I'm sitting here longing to have a go in one of these cars.

Hi, you are looking at a very nice and original 1991 Alfa Romeo Spider with only 41k original miles. Signal Red with tan leather and sued interior, 5 speed transmission, AC works ice cold, everything works on this car. Summer time is here and this is a dream car to be driven with the top down. This is a original car and it looks almost the same way as it left the factory showroom. Just a little wear as you see in the pictures, car runs like a dream. Starts right up with no smoke or leaks.

Dashboard looks brand new (very important) paint is very nice and shiny, just little scratches on few spots that you have to look for it to see it. The top is in good condition, original stereo (CD) with premium sound system, oil has been changed recently. This is a 22 year old classic Italian car and for its age is in mint condition as you see in the picture but it is not a brand new car so please ask any questions before you place a bid. I am selling the car as is with no reserve auction, that means that I am here to sell the car.

I demand a $500.00 none refundable deposit by PayPal after the auction is over and the rest in 4 days by wire only. If you don't agree please move on to the next car. If you have less than 10 feedback you must contact me first or I will cancel your bid and block you. I can assist with shipping, oh by the way the car needs engine mounts as my mechanic told me. Tires are very good, brakes are very good, clutch is very strong. All inspections must be done before the auction ends, after the auction I wont allow inspection. Thank you all.

With no reserve, it would be safe to say this car will probably reach somewhere between $13,000 to $15,000, which is what clean Series 4 Spiders with under 50,000 miles seem to be bringing these days. Personally, the Series 4 is my favorite of the bunch, barring the original boattail Duetto. It's certainly on my short list in the next couple years, and if one surfaces for sale in Rosso Vinaccia, I'm going to have a hard time holding back.
