1978 Alfa Romeo Alfetta GT

Few things get the heart of an car enthusiast racing than a red Alfa Romeo. Whether it's a classic Spider of the more recent 8C Competizione, these cars exude automotive passion like none other. I've always been partial to the Alfetta GT and later GTVs of the 1980s. This red Alfetta GT for sale in Oklahoma comes from an owner with five other Alfa Romeos looking to downsize his collection.

We've enjoyed this Alfetta for the last 7 years, but the other 5 Alfas need some attention,so it's time to thin the herd. This is a rust free car that runs and drives great. Over the years I've replaced about all the wear parts from the engine & tranny mounts, brakes, suspension, all drive shaft components, etc., new exhaust system with Euro manifolds.New headliner and battery. The seats need redone and there are cracks in the top of dash. The car was repainted and is holding up well.

While the later GTVs with their V6 engines tend to command a bit more in value, the earlier four cylinder Alfetta GTs are a relative value and just about as entertaining on the road. For a clean GT, expect to pay somewhere between $5,000 and $9,000. I'd suspect with this vehicle's history and condition, we're looking at around a $5,500 to $6,000 car.

1969 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce

Batista "Pinin" Farina was the founder of the design firm Pininfarina and turned it into a household name, as the company has consulted on everything ranging from interior design to vehicle coachbuilding. Batista's last project, though, left an impact on two seat roadsters for decades to come. The Alfa Romeo Spider Duetto began production in 1966, the year of Batista's death and was produced in varying forms up until 1993. I've always wanted a Spider sitting in my garage and few automotive enthusiasts haven't caught themselves waxing poetically about taking one of these entertaining drop tops for a nice weekend jaunt through some twisty backroads. This 1969 Spider for sale in Georgia has won a few awards at recent shows and is sure to turn heads wherever it goes with its new owner.

1969 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce

1969 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce restored in gorgeous Italian Red with Black interior to be a top Driven Proven Show Car, fully stock appearance, uprated 2.0 Alfa twin-cam engine with special cams and head, dual Weber 40s, full exhaust system, top suspension upgrades for handling along with top braking modifications, including a $500 chassis stiffener modification, aggressive looks with the Panasport style mag wheels and the Toyo radial tires, an Original Owner’s Manual showing history, here is a great Alfa convertible with loving care from serious aficionados.

At almost $33,000, this particular Spider is at the top end of where these early boat tail versions are at the moment. The Minilite style wheels look great on this classic red roadster, and the modifications made certainly make it more appealing to those putting performance and functionality over originality. I'd love to call this Spider my own. If seeing a car like this doesn't bring out some emotion in you, check your pulse.

1970 Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300Ti

There has been a steady trickle of cars here on CICFS that have been sourced from Europe, and this Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300Ti is one of them. Coming from Germany, this Alfa was restored in the old world and now resides in sunny Florida. In red over tan, this Berlina looks sharp and would make an excellent practical classic.

1970 Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300Ti, Red with Tan interior. I purchased the car in Germany and restored it in Europe before shipping to the US. Engine has been rebuilt using original standard size bearings and pistons/rings. All rust repair was done professionally and rust prevention was applied before painting. Brakes are all rebuilt, transmission mounts replaced, etc.
All the parts for the restoration was purchase from OKP.DE in Germany. I purchased a new carpet from OKP but I still have the original rubber carpet. The original vinyl seats are still great, the driver seat however needed vinyl replacement. Odometer shows 48320km (approx. 30,200 miles) but I can not confirm weather it is correct or not. The odometer and speedometer works fine just like everything else on the car. During restoration the body was completely stripped and all rusted panels were replaced (again we used OKP)

Car is mostly original and complete, nothing missing, runs and drives perfect. We recently participated in a local Alfa Romeo show (one picture is included from the show). Picture # 23 shows the car during restoration and the last picture shows the car as it was purchased. Car has a clear FL title and located in Sanford Florida. You can drive it home from Sanford, FL, there is no mechanical or any other issue with it.

Small problems with the car:
1. Windshield has a small chip
2. Headlight ring is not original Alfa, its from a Fiat 124. Fits perfect but slightly different.
3. Grille chrome bars are not original, instead of metal it is chromed plastic.

This Giulia has been restored nicely, but not to a point that you would be afraid to use it. Like the last Giuliawe featured, we're probably looking at a $15,000 to $20,000 car.

2008 Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione

Of all the new cars introduced in the last decade, I believe by far the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione is the most gorgeous of them all. A limited production exotic based heavily on Ferrari mechanicals, the 8C employed a 4.2 liter V8 with 444 horsepower and a carbon fiber body mated to a steel chassis. This was the first Alfa Romeo to be sold in the US since the manufacturer left the automotive landscape in 1995. The US got the lion's share of the 500 8C's produced, with 90 coming to these shores. This 8C for sale in Illinois is a rare chance to get behind the wheel of this brilliant looking sports car.

A very rare Alfa 8C! Only 1,831 miles, Rosso Alfa with Cuoio leather racing seats and full interior carbon kit. Black carpets, Bose sound, red calipers, iPod connector, leather headliner and bordeaux stitching. 1 OF 500 made. Carbon body panels, hi output Ferrari V8, F1 gearbox, a very special car.

The 8C Competizione had an original list price of $275,000, which was uncharted territory for Alfa Romeo at the time. Today, these cars are highly prized and typically bring anywhere between $225,000 to $250,000. Most of these cars that come up for sale have low mileage, but honestly, I would love to be wealthy enough to use one of these on a daily basis. Alfa Romeo knocked it out of the park when it came to aesthetics on this one.

1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Quadrifoglio

Even though the winter months are upon us here on the East Coast of the US, it's always nice to dream about warm weather and top down motoring during these frigid days. One of my favorites of all time is the Alfa Romeo Spider. Typically I prefer the early Duettos and final Series 4 Spiders, but this Quadrifoglio for sale in Illinois has travelled just under 20,000 miles and comes equipped with the not often seen hardtop.

1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Quadrifoglio

Quadrifoglio, beautiful roadster in excellent condition. Very low miles, one owner with clean Carfax Vehicle History Report. This 1986 Alpha Romeo Quadrifoglio Spider is absolutely beautiful. Locally owned and serviced. Stored under cover when it wasn't driven. It has never seen snow. Soft top was replaced three years ago and a factory original hard top is included as well. It is very rare to find a Spider in this condition with extensive maintenance records with receipts. Everything on this vehicle is original! This Spider is equipped with Alloy Wheels, Power Windows, Power Mirrors, Manual Transmission, OEM Hard Top, Soft Top, OEM Cassette Stereo, Rear Spoiler and Air Conditioning.

At $15,000, this mid '80s Spider is priced well above the average. While it is well equipped, I suspect this car might change hands for around $13,000. The black trim around the rear clip always made this particular Spider's looks a bit heavy handed, but with the hardtop, alloy wheels shared with the later Series 4 and the all important red paintwork, this contributes to this Series 3 Spider's desirability.

1971 Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300 Super

As a follow up to the tasty Giulia Super Ti, here is another European spec Alfa Berlina from the same period. With dual carburetors and a five-speed gearbox, this 1300 Super for sale in California is a great way to enjoy some classic motoring with a side of practicality.

1971 Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300 Super

1971 Giulia Super 1300 cc engine. 5-speed, great driving car. European model, dual carburetors runs great 4-wheel disc brakes.

Interior; newly recovered front seats rear seats in good condition with no rips or tears. Dash is in good condition with no cracks. Headliner is complete with no tears but has a few stains. Steering wheel is in good condition, Interior lights work, radio has a removable face. I never use it as the engine makes a nicer sound.

Exterior/Body; Paint is shiny in good condition and looks very nice, gets lots of compliments and smiles with no fading but not of show quality and not the original color. Bumpers are stainless and in good condition.

Engine/Transmission/Brakes Starts easily on the choke and settles to a nice idle, if it sits for a few weeks it needs a few pumps on the throttle to start. For a 1300 cc engine it has lots of get up and go and sounds great. The transmission is typical of an Alfa transmission and needs to be used gently when the choke is on and the engine cold but once it warms up shifts easily. The clutch has no slipping and works easily, the brakes work with no noise or pulling. The rear muffler will need to be replaced at some time but is not loud.

Driving; Drives down the road nicely I’ve driven it a round trip of 200 miles recently with no issues it is a comfortable car to drive. You are welcome to come and drive it – I recommend anyone wanting to purchase it to come and see it. Currently registered clear title in my name.

Giulia's of this vintage in this kind of condition are bringing roughly between $15,000 to $25,000 these days on average. While this car looks to be in good nick, it would obviously be a good rule of thumb to get a specialist to look it over. I like the honesty of the car. The rather plain color, steel wheels and single headlamps lend the car a subtle aura. But at its heart, it is still an Alfa, which means you'll be in for an entertaining drive.

1966 Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider

With an appearance like a scaled-up Giulietta Spider, the Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider is a much different animal. The flagship of the Alfa lineup, the 2600 was available as a Berlina, Coupe and Spider. Highly acclaimed for its 2.6 liter, twin cam inline six cylinder engine, these cars were capable of providing the passengers a fantastic aural experience, especially with the top down. Few of these 2600s exist today, and command higher prices than the four cylinder Spiders. This 2600 Spider for sale in New Jersey is in very good condition and mechanically sound.

Chance of a lifetime. I would like to sell this car before I need to put it away for the Winter. As such, I am selling it at NO RESERVE. It's going to be sold to the highest bidder.

This car is awesome! I would describe it as completely clean, fully restored mechanically and cosmetically, excellent condition, a pleasure to look at and drive. I cannot call this a show car, however, it can likely be brought up to that standard. It is an excellent example of a daily driver. I am not a dealer, merely a private individual with an enthusiasm for fun, unique cars. THIS CAR IS EXCEEDINGLY RARE. Less than 2300 Spider 2600s were produced and likely only a few hundred remain in existence today. It is possible that another will never appear on eBay again. This car looks as good in person as it does in the photos. As Alfa's all new flagship line, the 2600 marked the end of the Italian company's long standing tradition of producing 4-cylinder cars. I have driven this car 90 mph on the highway without a hiccup or a shake. The car has a black soft top but the top down is the way to go. All electrical parts work, even the cigarette lighter! My mechanic cannot find anything wrong with the car mechanically and it looks gorgeous comsmetically. See photos and particularly photos of the undercarriage which show just how rust free this car is.

A car of this quality and rarity is not cheap. Please understand this and bid accordingly. I am not a car dealer and I have a very active day job. If you are serious (and within a reasonable distance of NYC), please look at it in person or have your mechanic look at it and check it out. No time wasters please. Thank you and anyone who wins this car should be very happy indeed!

As mentioned above, the 2600 Spiders are valued more than the Giulietta Spiders. Since this is a no reserve auction, I would guess the final bid would wind up somewhere between $50,000 to $70,000, considering current market values. This is a great classic for those seeking something a bit different than the usual Duetto or Giulietta Spider, but aren't yet ready to dabble in the six figure Ferrari market.

1977 Alfa Romeo Alfetta GT

We've featured a few nice examples of the GTV6, Alfa Romeo's last affordable sports coupe to be sold in the US. Enthusiasts are waiting with baited breath for the mid engined 4C to arrive stateside, here is a clean example of the car that begat the GTV6, the Alfetta GT. With a twin cam four cylinder engine in 1.6 and 1.8 liter capacities, this coupe was a bit lighter on its feet and in the power department than its later brethren, but still offered an entertaining, well balanced drive. This GT for sale in California looks handsome in dark blue and had one owner between 1979 and 2010.

I am selling my 1977 Alfa Romeo Alfetta GT. I will start with the history of the car that I have been able to obtain. It was purchased new at Cotton Goff Alfa Romeo in Buena Park California. The original owner then traded it in or sold it back to Cotton Goff in 1979. That is when the owner prior to me purchased it. He purchased it from Cotton Goff in 1979. I have the factory maintenance book and prior to his purchase it had been maintained at the dealer. From 1979 until 2010 when I purchased the car he was the owner. He maintained it very well during the life of the car. I have many receipts from this maintenance. Generally he tried to take it to Zimmerman Autosport in Vista CA. He took very good care of the car and kept it in a garage nearly all of the time he had it. I actually purchased it from his daughter after he passed away. I am sure had that not happened he would still be driving it today.

When I obtained the car it was still in very good shape. Needed a bit of cleaning up, but that was about it. It was running a bit rough due to a bad thermostatic actuator. I replaced that and re tuned it for the new actuator and it has been running great ever since. It smogs fine in California and I will smog it for any California purchase. The problems with the car are few, but I will list them below.

The oil pressure gauge is a bit finicky. It works most of the time, but sometimes it does not.
It has two minor rust spots. One is just above the rear bumper on the rear drivers side of the back. The other is at the bottom of the passenger fender right by the door. Pictured below.
The dash has two cracks in it.
It grinds a bit going into second which is common with these. Double clutching eliminates this problem.

Overall this car is in incredible shape for its age. It is pretty much all original. I have reupholstered the drivers seat. I also had the rear hatch and the front core support(in front of the hood) repainted due to scratches and a few dings. The paint is in great shape and the interior is as well. It drives beautifully and runs flawlessly. It leaks a tiny bit of oil, but for a 35 year old car nothing major. I have really enjoyed this car, but now it is time to pass it on to someone else. I hope this description has been helpful. Please feel free to email with any questions.

Later GTV models in good condition are bringing on average between $7,000 to $12,000 these days. The four cylinder versions tend to bring a bit less, but there are those that value the earlier GT versions for their lighter weight and greater design purity. This GT is presented well, and even considering its faults, will probably bring somewhere between $6,000 to $8,000.

1995 Alfa Romeo 164LS

Like clothing from certain Italian design houses, I know that cars like this Alfa Romeo 164 would just fit me better. Even though it shares its platform with the Saab 9000, Lancia Thema and Fiat Croma, the 164 departs from the other three with sharper, Pininfarina styling that provides a nice, tailored look to the executive sedan. This was the last new Alfa Romeo to be sold in the US before the 8C Competizione arrived and this 1995 model represents the final year of the 164 being stateside. Unlike a lot the 164 sedans we've featured previously, this 164LS has the automatic transmission.

1995 Alfa Romeo 164LS

This one owner Alfa (last year of production) has automatic transmission, leather/power/heated seats, fog lights, power windows, power door locks, headlight washers, power folding mirrors, factory 12-disc CD changer/tape/AM/FM, power sunroof and air conditioning.

Engine is in good shape, does not smoke, does not leak, nice and quiet. Recently the timing belt was replaced. Transmission feels perfect, shifts without any problems, without delay, and without noise. Suspension is in excellent shape, car tracks nice and straight. There is no evidence of any electrical problems. The exterior is in excellent shape for a 1995. The paint looks original, and there is no rust anywhere on the car. Leather seats, carpet and glass are all in great shape.

Interior of this car is nice and clean. This Alfa has four matching tires with more then 75% tread left, that are mounted on good straight rims. Our mechanics have performed all of the necessary maintenance and have replaced front brake pads. It will be sold with a clear title and it will be sold as-is, where-is.

The 164 looks good in almost any color, but in LS trim, black is a very classy choice for this stylish sedan. At $9,350, this much luxury may seem a bargain, but realistically, this car is worth somewhere between $6,000 and $8,000, even considering the low mileage. If I had the space and extra cash lying around, I'd be willing to go as far as about $8,500 to have a clean, unmolested example of one of these, even if it was automatic. The exhaust note alone is worth the price of admission.

1983 Alfa Romeo Alfasud Sprint 1.5 QV

The Alfa Romeo Alfasud is an interesting car. It acquired a bit of a bad rap due to mechanical malfeasance, but with over one million vehicles sold, is one of Alfa Romeo's most successful models in its history. This car was the product of a joint venture between Alfa Romeo and Finmeccanica and a new plant was set up in the south of Italy as part of a labor agreement, hence the "Sud" part of the car's name. This 1983 model is the last year the Alfasud moniker appeared. After that, this car was called simply the "Sprint" as its lifecycle wound down in the late 1980s. Alfasuds weren't the heartiest of vehicles; as a result, many have disappeared from the roads, primarily due to rust issues. This survivor in Rome has an astoundingly low 22,000 miles on the clock, but I'm not sure I'd call the green carpet "bella."

1983 Alfa Romeo Alfasud Sprint 1.5 QV

Alfa Romeo Alfasud Sprint 1.5 Quadrifoglio Verde, 105 hp, four-wheel disc brakes (front inboard). 1983 model year, white, upholstery in good condition, beautiful green carpet, very nice body paint, well functioning mechanically. One owner until 2010. New tires added in 2012.

At $5,800, there's other ways of getting into a classic Alfa Romeo but perhaps not with such little mileage or in such great condition. So what'll it be then? A slightly tatty Spider or a mint condition example of what some consider a forgettable Alfa. For me, it would probably be the Spider but for all the Alfasud's faults, the later Sprint iteration is charming in its own right.
